Through the collaborative efforts of FIRST at Blue Ridge and Learning to Lead, we have cultivated valuable partnerships with several vocational training providers. These partnerships play a crucial role in equipping our participants with marketable skills and hands-on experience to support their journey toward self-sufficiency and long-term recovery.
Two examples of our vocational training partners include:
1. Atlas Precision
Partnering with Atlas Precision allows participants to gain experience in advanced manufacturing and precision engineering. This partnership provides individuals with opportunities to develop technical skills in a supportive environment, preparing them for meaningful careers in a high-demand industry.
2. Givens Communities
Our collaboration with Givens Communities opens doors for participants to engage in vocational training within the senior living and healthcare sectors. From facility maintenance to resident services, participants gain practical skills while contributing to the well-being of others in the community.

Through this collaboration, clients learn how to present their skills, experiences, and achievements effectively to potential employers. This critical step not only boosts their confidence but also enhances their employability, paving the way for meaningful job opportunities and long-term career success.

FIRST at Blue Ridge is a North Carolina-licensed, peer-led therapeutic community dedicated to assisting individuals with chronic substance use disorders. Their mission is to provide opportunities, guidance, and education to help individuals make positive life changes and become responsible, productive members of society.
